Fees & policies

What it costs, and how it works.

Consultation, rates, sliding scale, cancellation, insurance, and the Board of Psychology notice.

Consultation

Initial phone consult provided free of cost to determine if we may be a fit for you.

Rate

Fees are between $150 and $300 per session, depending on the clinician and the type of session. Fees are due on a recurring basis, either weekly or monthly, if previously discussed. Payment is accepted via Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, personal check, or cash.

Reduced Rate

Sliding scale available for those who cannot afford our full fee. Please inquire if you would like to learn more.

Cancellation

Regular attendance at your sessions is vital to our work together. Consistency is a large part of what makes progress possible. We have a 48-hour cancellation policy, and once our standing appointment is scheduled, you’ll be required to pay for the full cost of your session unless you provide notice of cancellation at least 48 hours in advance. If sessions are missed frequently, we may discuss a different cancellation policy with you.

Insurance

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. You are responsible for making the necessary arrangements with your insurance provider and initiating the process. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible, and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

If you are working out what your plan covers, out-of-network benefits and superbills are explained in the questions.
